Community Impact

At Garden Social Community Impact, our underlying mission is to provide our local community with valuable access to hands-on horticulture.

From growing thousands of low-water-use trees to be planted throughout the community, to managing a local seed-share program, providing local residents with access to valuable plant literature and watering guides, working with residents and landscape business owners to recycle unused pots and divert plastic waste from landfills, providing access to valuable illustrated books through The Garden Library, and constructing garden beds throughout schools, daycares, businesses and public spaces to increase horticulture visibility, Garden Social Community Impact’s mission is simple – to bring the garden to the community.

Nurturing foundational support for sustainability, learning and engagement – one seed at a time.

Driving change that matters, no matter how small.

Through Garden Social Community Impact, we extend free low-water-use plants and educational resources to the local community, as well as help to establish sustainable access to botanical education for children in local schools and daycares, as well as throughout local businesses and public spaces.

This mission is outlined by the critical need for more non-physical contact sport activities for children and local residents to get social, engaged and keep active, as well as to spread awareness about the importance of horticulture and environmental sustainability in our modern society.
